Max Levchin, PayPal co-founder and CEO of slide quits Google
One year after Google took over the Slide social media group, Max Levchin has decided to leave Google.
His move is surprising to many analysts since Google has of late pushed to have a strong base on the social media, an area Levchin was a specialist. However, over the past year Levchin has not been very actively involved in the launching of Slide products such as Photo vine.
The latest Slide application, Photovine was launched last week. It is a unique application for photo sharing but it is yet to be integrated into Google. Google seem to have different ideas with Slide applications because the only product from Slide that Google intends to pursue is Prizes.org. This application helps people to solve their problems online and get cash for offering solutions.
