If you are new to article marketing and you don't know where to start this would be a good place to start. The first thing you want to do is, decide what you want to right about for instance you want to right about "frogs". Once you decide what you want to right about you need to come up with some keywords that is relevant to your article about frogs.
Once you have your keywords you need to see if your keywords have traffic and how you can do that is by using Google free keyword tool or a paid tool like market samurai. What you want to focus on is the competition, local searches and global searches. You want to make sure that you don't pick the keywords with high competition because you will have a hard time getting on the first page of Google.
You want to make sure you pick the keywords with low competition but high searches. Now if the keyword that you choose has no traffic then you would want to pick a different keyword, broaden your keyword a bit ad more to it for example: "How types of frog species are there" that might give you more results.
Now after you have chosen your keywords you want to go to Google and type in your keyword and see how many searches there are you want to make sure that they are below 60,000 if they are then that is a good keyword to use if not choose another one. The next step would be a title you want to make sure that your keyword is in your title.
You also want to make sure that you keyword is in a few of your paragraphs also but don't go overboard for a 300 page article have your keyword in about 2 different paragraphs. If it is 400 words you can do 3. Make sure you add in [anchor text] that your reader can click on to send them to your website, blog etc. And Lastly you want ti submit your article to different article submission sites and bookmarking sites etc.
