How to get Aerial View in Google Maps

Aerial view at 90 degrees is common in Google Maps but providing a 45 degrees angle view is the new outcome of Google Maps. The 45 degrees aerial view is only available in selected cities and locations in the world. Most of these locations are from North America and Europe, few from South America and South Africa and no other Asian countries support.
This feature of 45 degree aerial view was only available to the developers and the Google Maps employees. Now they made it official by publishing it online so that all the Google Maps users can see the aerial images. These pictures are taken from the air but not from the satellite as we see normal on the maps. As a result the images are sharper and their angle inclination picture view allows you to see the landmarks and building as they appear form the side.

Google Maps 45 degree view is only available in certain areas, but hopefully a team would be working to add more locations to it. In California state it includes Contra Costa County, Escondido, Fresno, Galt, Lake Arrowhead, Lake Forest, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, Long Beach, Oakland, Ontario, Oxnard, Pacerville, Sacramento, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Sausalito, Torrance and Van Nuys locations.
How to See in 45 Degrees
  • To view places in 45 degrees for the available places listed on the Google Maps first you need to on the Google 45 degree layers which shows the list. Go to Google Maps and mouse over the to Transit you will the 45 degree ON option.

  • See the list of places on the left side and click on it, it will take you to the normal Google Maps location.
  • To see the 45 degree view, you just need to zoom in until you get it. At a certain zoom level it will automatically show the 45 degree maps locations for you.
